Easter weekend

Well we had a very busy weekend! Friday night Grace and Reid had there friends from next door over, the twins Kaz & Kalissa and their sister Naomi. We had lots of activities for the kids, first we had a pizza and breadsticks and a little Sprite "they loved that"! After cleaning up everyone's soda spills we decorated sugar cookies with icing and sprinkles, after cleaning up all of that we had an Easter egg coloring page contest, with Naomi being the winner, Ron was the judge, guess he didn't like mine.....not bright enough colors i was told....then we finally got to color easter eggs, only one was broken, not to bad. After all of that we watched the BEE Movie "very cute"!! And off to bed.

Saturday was also a busy day with lots of playing outside in the sandbox and swinging on the swing set with the three girls going from our house to theirs, Kaz said the girls were being mean to him so he stayed in most of the day. So that night we had an Easter egg hunt for all of the kids, everyone had a certain color egg that was theirs that they had to find....they had so much fun they wanted me to hide them again even though their would be no candy in them this time, they didn't seem to mind. We played Duck Duck Goose and Red Rover by that time it was getting very chilly outside, so we headed in to watch Star Wars the Clone Wars.....they must not have liked it because when i came down stairs Ron was asleep and the kids were messing with him taking his hat off and his glasses saying silly things. It's so funny to hear little kids when they think no one is listening.

Grace enjoyed her Tea Party on Saturday, the Fairies named her the Ice Cream Fairy. There was dancing, finger foods and a story, and she even got all of their autographs. We had a fun filled weekend!!

Today was a good day the kids had school from 10-noon, while i came home and did some laundry. After picking them up Grace had her friends Kendall and Naomie over to play. Playing dress up was the theme of the day and not letting her little brother into her room to bother her was another. Cinderella is getting sleepy playing her harmonica on the sofa but seeing songs to keep herself awake. This week will be a tough week for Ron, he will have to lay off some of his guys due to the downsizing of the company. Not fun for him. We are very thankful that he still has a job.

The past few day's at the Chapman house have been filled with getting bundled up to play in the snow and sled down hills. The kids love it and have so much fun, hearing their little screams going down the hill and the smiles on their faces when they climb back up just to go down again. Will create lasting memories for us.
Today we traveled to Indy for a Super Bowl party and had a great time chatting with friends while all the kids got to play together. I enjoyed holding Kim and Eric's baby Brooke most of the night, she is a sweetie! Most of the crew was there except for a few that had other things going on. It's always nice to see everyone.
